7-Hr First on the Scene
Targeted for persons who may discover environmental releases or observe dumping violations.
This course meets the requirements of OSHA’s Hazardous Waste Final Rule (1910.120 effective March 6,1990) for first-responder personnel (awareness-level) who may be the first on the scene at a hazardous materials incident.

- Your role as the person who is first on the scene.
- Size up and gathering necessary information on the scene and communicating it to emergency responders.
8-Hr Waste Site Worker Refresher – Performance Based (8HR)
An annual requirement for maintaining certification as a hazardous waste site worker.
8-Hr Hazardous Waste Site Supervisor
Targeted for persons who are or who anticipate being supervisors/managers at a hazardous waste site.

40-Hr Site Worker (40H)
This course is for individuals who plan to work at a hazardous waste site that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances and their associate hazards.
Overall Learning Objectives:
• Use references to determine hazards.
• Identify hazard control measures.
• Design standard operating procedures to prevent worker exposure to hazardous materials.
• Don and doff personal protective equipment.
• Use monitoring equipment
• Set up decontamination procedures.
• Recognize hazards at your facility
• Sample and clean up a chemical release.
• Minimize exposure to hazardous materials.
• Prevent the spread of contaminants.
• Describe practices to reduce potential emergencies
• Implement the site safety plan
NOTE: All participants in the 40-Hour Waste Site Worker Training are required to have a physician complete a medical evaluation and clearance form prior to the course.
